Riyadh grew up as a Muslim but came to faith in Christ as a young man. Despite persecution and losing relationships with family members, he held on to Jesus as his pearl of great price. He married a believer from his people group, and together, they began to build their lives based on the Bible, although they had few Christian examples to follow. They read the Bible, and Riyadh led his family in building their lives upon the Rock. Today, not only do their children follow Jesus, but God uses this couple to multiply His church by allowing them to teach others how to be disciples who make disciples. The rain has fallen, floods came, winds blew, but they are steadfast because they trust Jesus' words. Pray for leaders like Riyadh and his wife to multiply themselves into many other leaders in this region.
نشأ رياض وتربي مثل أي مُسلم، ولكنه آمن بالمسيح في ريعان شبابه. ورغم ما تعرَّض له من اضطهاد وفقد��ان العلاقات مع أفراد الأسرة، ظل متمسكاً بالرب يسوع جوهرته الثمينة. وتزوج إحدى المؤمنات في مجتمعه، وبدءا معًا بناء حياتهما على أساس الكتاب المقدس، رغم ندرة النماذج المسيح��ية التي كانا يتبعانها. لقد قرأ معًا الكتاب المقدس، وقاد الرياض أسرته نحو بناء حياتهم على الصخر. اليوم، لا يتبع أبنائهما الرب يسوع فحسب، بل يستخدمهما الله لنمو كنيسته من خلال تعليم الآخرين كيف يصيرون تلاميذًا يُتلمذون آخرين. لقد نزلت الأمطار، وجرت السيول، وهبت العواصف، ولا يزالان صامدان؛ لأنهما يثقان بكلمات الرب يسوع. نُصلي من أجل أن يكثر القادة أمثال رياض وزوجته، وتتضاعف أعدادهم في هذا البلد.

But as for me, my feet had almost stumbled,
my steps had nearly slipped.
For I was envious of the arrogant
when I saw the prosperity of the wicked." (Psalm 73:1-3) ESV

Christians can struggle to trust God and his ways when they see wicked people seemingly prospering all around them. Pray for the church here to hold on to the truth that God rewards the pure in heart...that there is a deeper reality than the fleeting circumstances we see through worldly eyes.

"Nevertheless, I am continually with you;
you hold my right hand.
You guide me with your counsel,
and afterward you will receive me to glory.
Whom have I in heaven but you?
And there is nothing on earth that I desire besides you.
My flesh and my heart may fail,
but God is the strength[b] of my heart and my portion forever." (Psalm 73:23-26) ESV
"حَقّاً إِنَّ اللهَ رَفِيقٌ بِإِسْرَائِيلَ،
بِذَوِي الْقُلُوبِ النَّقِيَّةِ.
أَمَّا أَنَا فَقَدْ أَوْشَكَتْ

. يواجه المؤمنون تحديات في الإيمان بالله وبطرائقه، ولا سيما حين يرون طُرق الأشرار من حولهم تنجح وتُثمر. نُصلي من أجل أن تتمسك كنيسة بلادنا بحقيقة أنَّ الله يُج��ازي أنقياء القلب… وأن ثمة قصدًا أعمق وراء ما نراه بأعيننا البشرية.

"غَيْرَ أَنِّي مَعَكَ دَائِماً،
وَأَنْتَ قَدْ أَمْسَكْتَ بِيَدِي الْيُمْنَى.
تَهْدِينِي بِمَشُورَتِكَ،
وَبَعْدَ ذَلِكَ تَأْخُذُنِي إِلَى الْمَجْدِ.
مَنْ لِي فِي السَّمَاءِ غَيْرُكَ؟
وَلَسْتُ أَبْغِي فِي الأَرْضِ أَحَداً مَعَكَ.
إِنَّ جَسَدِي وَقَلْبِي يَفْنَيَانِ،
أَمَّا اللهُ فَهُوَ صَخْ��رَةُ قَلْبِي وَنَصِيبِي إِلَى الدَّهْرِ". (مَزمور 73: 23-26)

Lord, we ask for you to purify your church, your bride. May the beauty of grace not lull anyone into thinking that you are tolerant of sin. Sin destroys. As your children gather, may they confess their sins to one another and be healed (James 5:16). Let each one recognize that their righteousness is only because of Jesus. May they forgive quickly and receive forgiveness. Let them know the power of the cross to burn away all wood, hay, stubble, and straw and leave the gold and silver, the works of Christ's righteousness built on the foundation of Jesus (1 Cor 3:12-13).
يا رب، نسألك أن تطهِّر كنيستك، عروستك، وألا يترك جمال النعمة انطباعًا عند أحد أنك متساهل مع الخطيَّة، فالخطيَّة مُدمِّرة. وأن يعترف أبناؤك لبعضهم بعضًا حين يجتمعون بالزلات لكي يُشفوا (يعقوب 5: 16). وأن يعرف الجميع أنَّ بِرهم هو بسبب الرب يسوع، وأن يُسرعوا إلى المغفرة ويُغفر لهم، اجعلهم يعرفون قوة الصليب التي تمتحن الخشب، والعُشب، والقش، فتترك الذهب والفِضة، التي هي أعمال بِر المسيح، أساس الرب يسوع الذي وضع (1 كورنثو��س 3: 12-13).

True righteousness is achieved only through the blood of Jesus, with him being "made sin for us so that we might become the righteousness of God" (2 Cor 5:21). For all human beings, including Muslims, our tendency is to think that somehow, if we work hard enough, pray the right way, give sacrificially enough, fast severely enough, we will gain favor with God by our own righteousness. This self-righteous thinking spits on the cross and declares Jesus' blood unnecessary. Forgive us, Lord. May Muslims—and all people—see that the Scriptures repeatedly reveal that we cannot make ourselves righteous. May Muslims feel the weight of the impossibility of rescuing themselves and instead hunger and thirst for true righteousness through the cross.
لا يتحقق البر الحقيقي إلا بدم الرب يسوع، "فَإِنَّ الَّذِي لَمْ يَعْرِفْ خَطِيئَةً، جَعَلَهُ اللهُ خَطِيئَةً لأَجْلِنَا، لِنَصِيرَ نَحْنُ بِرَّ اللهِ فِيهِ" (2 كورنثوس 5: 21). فالجنس البشري كافة، بما فيه ال��مسلمين، يميل إلى الاعتقاد بطريقة أو بأخرى أنه كلما نعمل بجِد، ونُصلي بالطريقة الصحيحة، ونُضحي ونصوم كثيرًا، نجد نعمة في عيني الله بهذا البِر الذاتي. وهذا الفِكر يضرب عرض الحائط الصليب ودم الرب يسوع. سامحنا يا رب، وافتح أعيُن المُسلمين - والناس جميعًا - ليروا كم أعلنت الأسفار المُقدَّسة مرارًا وتكرارًا عدم استطاعتنا تبرير أنفسنا. وليشعُر المسلمون بمدى استحالة خلاص أنفسهم دون الشعور بالجوع والعطش إلى البر الحقيقي الذي من خلال الصليب.
